Welcome to Lily's Garden! At the heart of our program is a warm, nurturing, and stimulating environment where we provide a solid foundation for a strong, academic future while allowing your child to freely express his or her unique creativity. We believe in instilling good habits from an early age to foster an effective and healthy work ethic. As a result, many of our graduates go on to comfortably skip the first grade. Our curriculum spans over a broad range of topics including the arts, sciences, and geography with particular emphasis on reinforcing language and math skills. The following is an overview of what your child will be learning!
At the Preschool level, students learn to count and recognize numbers through hands-on activities. Students also learn how to recognize shapes and colors.
At the Pre-Kindergarten level, students learn simple addition and subtraction, basic logic, and how to solve word problems. They also learn how to count money and tell time. Students are periodically given a comprehensive test for proficiency. The Pre-Kindergarten program fully integrates the California State Standards in Math for Kindergartners.
At the Kindergarten level, students learn addition and subtraction, graphing, and number patterns. They also learn geometry, fractions, probability, and the fundamentals of problem solving. Students are tested every Friday and are periodically given a comprehensive test for proficiency. The Kindergarten program fully integrates the California State Standards in Math for First Graders.
